Marquez Bradley October 13, 2013

This is a late post. I was delayed in finishing this article, so here it goes. Marquez and Bradley are a couple of my favorite professional boxers, but I have to admit that Marquez is one of my all time favorite boxers. He is tough, an incredible counter-puncher and always rises to the occasion and puts on a great fight. I recorded my scores on the 13th of October. With that said, I am conscious to judge fairly.

Here are my scores:

1. Marquez - clear
2. Bradley - clear
3. Marquez - close
4. Marquez - Close
5.Bradley  - No question
6. Bradley - Clear

After 6 I have it 57 - 57. Harold Lederman has it 5-1 for Bradley O.o WTH? Anyway...

7. Bradley - Relatively close, but Bradley won this round. This is the first time he leads the fight and this is where he slows down.
8. Marquez 76-76
9.Marquez 86-85
10. Bradley 95-95
11. Marquez 105-104 Note: Two judges scored 9, 10 and 11 for Marquez
12. Marquez  115 - 113 Two judges gave this round to Bradley.

This fight was close and really could go either way. It all depends on perspective of each judge. Patricia Jarman gave Bradley the last three rounds, which was odd. And Harold Lederman had Bradley running away with the fight. He was clearly wrong once again.

I gave the fight to Marquez, but it was very close. If Bradley would have fought the way he did in round seven, Marquez would have clearly loss. However, Bradley backed off and allowed Marquez to come back in the fight.

There it is.. short and sweet. Marquez cannot really cry robbery because it was simply a close fight, but he has been in a few close ones that did not go his way. Maybe they will go at it once more and hopefully Marquez can win convincingly like he did with Marquez. Make it easy for the judges, Juan Manuel!! Knock him out next time.
